Ghostpoet: Shedding Skin Record Sleeve

Ghostpoet’s (Obaro Ejimiwe) inventive new album artwork is stunningly beautiful and conceptually clever. Collaborating with researchers at University College London, the musician developed imagery based on a biopsy of his own skin.

It’s great to see an artist become so involved in the album cover’s creative process. Short film Shedding Skin: Behind The Artwork offers a fascinating insight into that process.

GF Smith : 1885 Onwards

Working at a printers has its odd perks and when I noticed the GF Smith: 1885 Onwards ” Portrait of a Company” promotional book on reception, I figured I’d have that for myself. Designed by Made Thought with copywriting by Patrick Baglee, it is a beautifully made book. GF Smith are a renowned paper company, fiercely proud of its Hull roots. Although a promotional tool, the book is an interesting read with chapters on its history, staff and work. Having grow up in a village on the outskirts of Hull, its fascinating to learn about a company that prides itself on its heritage, people and is passionate about its products on my doorstep.

Change on Fire

Finally had the opportunity to set fire to my typographic experiment created with matches. Wished I had filmed it as it went better than expected.
